Master Key Experience Week 24 Commencement

This is the last week of the Master Key Mastermind Alliance.  In some ways it has been a long six months and is some ways not long enough.  I have learned so much and made some changes in my life.  I have accomplished so much.  Who would have thought that I would be sleeping better and getting a full 7 to 8 hours of sleep at night, something I haven’t done in years. I think about things differently, I think more positively and I am more productive.

What will be ending?  The Sunday webinars will end as will the assignments given to us each week.  Also ending are the Digital Connections webinars, which were a bonus to learn how to navigate through the various social media such as Twitter, and how to blog.

We will now be self-directed thinkers and will be able to use all the tools we were given throughout the course. But, just as commencement is not the end, this is just the beginning for most of us . at least for me, on this incredible journey.  I will be continuing to do the readings, the grateful cards, the sit (meditation), the quiet hour before bed time.  I have 24 lessons from Haanal to reread and all my notes from the webinars to revisit.  I will continue to have weekly phone calls with my mastermind buddy.

I will continue to hand out my notes of kindness.  I have handed out 191 out of the 1000 I intend to give out by January 2017.  Yesterday, while in the grocery store I handed a woman one of my notes.  She was so thankful she gave me a big hug.  She said she had taken a picture of the note and was going to send it to her friends.

As Haaal says, “If you have practiced each of the exercises a few minutes every day, as suggested, you will have found that you can get out of life exactly what you wish by first putting into life that which you wish, and you will probably agree with the student who said: ‘The thought is almost overwhelming, so vast, so available, so definite, so reasonable and so usable’”

This isn’t the end, this is just the beginning. The course has taught me that if I change the way I look at things, the things I look at change.  I think Wayne Dyer explains this concept perfectly in this short video.

Master Key Experience Week 22A Master of My Emotions

Today I will be the master of my emotions.cat

I am not only learning from the Master Key Mastermind Alliance, but it is teaching me to learn lessons from what I see in everyday life.  I love Scroll 6 and in particular the section that talks about how to control one’s emotions. This scroll puts together some of the things I have learned in the course and have observed elsewhere.

It is a well-known fact that singing can reduce stress and depression.  I now know that it is because of the Law of Substitution.  We cannot think of more than one thing at a time.  If we concentrate on singing or laughing, we will not be thinking depressing or sad thoughts.  We have been taught in this course to replace all negative thoughts with positive ones.  You can learn how to control your thoughts by signing up for the “7 Days to a New You” found on the right side of this post.

I recently saw a movie called Eddie the Eagle and although there were many messages I got from the movie, one that hit home for me was courage. Eddie sat at the top of the 90 meter ski jump at the 1988 Olympics looking down to the landing area of the ski jump, a jump he had never skied before.  I am certain he was afraid.  I was afraid just looking at the picture.  He did it!  He skied and jumped the 90 meter run.  I think this is a great image to keep in my mind when I feel fear.  My obstacles are not nearly as big as his and may be something as simple as picking up the phone to call customers.

Feel the fear and do it anyway.  Use it as a tool.

The fact that I can get over feeling inferior by wearing new garments is not really something new for me.  What woman, or man, doesn’t feel better when donning their new outfits?  This will help justify my next shopping adventure.  J

We have had to write out messages on index cards and read them out loud. Mark always tells us that we should read our card with ENTHUSIASM.  This helps the subconscious mind assimilate the messages better.  Now I see that this also helps with uncertainty.

We have written out our Definite Major Purpose in Life on index cards.  This includes financial goals for myself, among other things.  We have written these out as SMART goals and ones that anyone can see when they are reached.  This helps one stay out of the poverty mode because I know that whatever I think about grows and thoughts become things. It is better to think of riches than bills.

One set of cards we had to write were about some of the successes we have had in our lives, whether they were big successes or small successes.  I wrote out about 50 cards.  Reading through these cards reminds me that if I was successful in the past, I can be successful again in the future.

I read through all these cards throughout the day, some of them I read 3 times a day.  The subconscious mind doesn’t know what is real and this procedure helps the subconscious guide me on my way.  Scroll VI puts a lot of our assignments into prospective.  We have come a long way in the past 5 months.

Master Key Experience Week 15 Discipline

Benjamin Franklin followed a custom to establish new virtues and based on his methods we rated 11 virtues that are recommend for all to acquire.  We started with the virtue which requires the greatest improvement in ourselves.  We are then to observe in others, and in ourselves, when we see these virtues displayed and indicate how many times we have observed the chosen virtue.

I chose DISCIPLINE.

Wikipedia says discipline “is the suppression of base desires, and is usually understood to be synonymous with restraint and self-control. Self-discipline is to some extent a substitute for motivation. Discipline is when one uses reason to determine the best course of action regardless of one’s desires, which may be the opposite of fun.”

This was one that I found difficult to observe even when I was really looking for it.  The best example I saw was of a mom shopping with a toddler.  The toddler was in the shopping cart and was crying and yelling.  I think most people might have left the store, but she continued to remain calm, occasionally talking to him, but continued to examine the things she was considering to buy.

There are many words we could use to describe her behavior but I saw it as self-discipline.

Haanal says: “Insight enables us to plan to advantage and turn our thought and attention in the right direction, instead of into channels which can yield no possible return.”

The insight I have got from this experience with observing discipline, is that it definitely is a virtue I need to work on, in my personal life and in my business life.  I need the discipline to eat healthy foods, to exercise and to take the necessary actions required to grow my business.

My plan of action is to schedule everything I need to do for the day and not do anything else until each action is completed. That includes everything I put in my mouth as well. I am planning my menus for the week to ensure that I say on my healthy eating plan.  I am on my way to becoming self-disciplined!

I will use use the words of wisdom from Art Williams and “Just do it!”

Master Key Experience Week 13 Aha!

file4261249750861I had an interesting experience this week.  I had to go for a procedure that was going to take 45 minutes  The technician and I chatted and she shared some of her thoughts with me.  I didn’t agree with everything she was saying but I stayed the “silent observer” gave no opinions, just listened and asked questions.  Sometime in the conversation she shared that she had experienced a lot of losses in the past few years. I told her she was “whole, perfect, strong, powerful, loving, harmonious and happy.” She said that brought a tear to her eye because no one had said anything nice to her for some time.

When the procedure was over she gave me a big hug. This experience made me feel awesome.  Haanel says we have to give before we can receive and it doesn’t mean we have to give big things.

I had hoped that what I was going to learn in the Master Keys Mastermind Alliance was going to help me build my business, but what I am learning is so much more than that.  I am learning how to be a better person and how to give to others, even if it is a gift of a compliment.

One of the latest tasks we have been assigned was to write out 30 things we have accomplished on index cards.  The following week we were asked to write out another 30 things.  I got some help on this one from friends and family.  To these cards we added one sentence to an index card about  some of our goals.  Every day we add three cards indicating what we are grateful for.  We then divide the cards into 2 piles, shuffle them and read them out loud throughout the day, with enthusiasm.  I find it amazing to read my cards some of them with accomplishments, some with my goals and some with things I am grateful for.

I can see what we are doing with this exercise.  The subconscious mind won’t know the file0001476644939difference between what has been accomplished and what is yet to come.  Also, indicating what we are grateful for will attract to us more things to be grateful for.
Brilliant!

Week 8 Masterkey Experience My Two Friends

I have 2 friends, I will just call them Nellie and Penny.  They are very different.  If you ask Penny “How are you today?” she will answer with a smile, saying, “Great!  And you?” If you ask Nellie the same question, you will get “Could be better.”

Penny sees the positive in everything around her, the weather, her life, her children, her husband, her friends.  Nellie on the other hand, is full of complaints.  It is too hot or too cold, her husband is home too much or he is never home.  Penny is grateful for everything in her life, Nellie can’t think of anything to be grateful for. Penny tells me I am smart and that I always do my best.  Nellie tells me I never do anything right and that I shouldn’t even try.  Penny tells me I can be whatever I want to be; Nellie tells me I can’t succeed at anything and I shouldn’t even try.

Penny and Nellie don’t get along very well.  Whatever Penny says, Nellie finds fault with it.  Penny tries to get Nellie to focus on the more positive things in life and sometimes she succeeds, sometimes Nellie brings Penny down to her level.

0022I really don’t like Nellie very much and I think it is time to kick her to the curb.  I much prefer to have Penny around, and I know everyone else in my life feels the same way. The problem with my two friends is that they both live in my mind.  I know that according to the Seven Laws of the Mind, “We cannot think about 2 things at the same time.” I am concentrating on keeping Positive Penny alive and well in my mind and I am ignoring Negative Nellie and replacing her with Penny.  It might not seem like an easy thing to accomplish but I am sure with the help of Penny, I will get it done.

happy-flowers (1)I have given up TV and computer games for a week. I have also severely limited my Facebook time.  This has not been as difficult as I had thought.  The end result is that I have more time to spend on the things I really want to do and always thought I didn’t have time for. Positive Penny has helped me stay on track.
